new ways of working or ‘future work’
Incorporates services designed to promote flexible working and activity-based working arrangements, which are key enablers for a more diverse and inclusive organisation.
With skills in the areas of project management, culture change, and buildings and facilities, Diversity Inclusion provides a holistic service to support organisations seeking to embrace new ways of working, such as activity-based working and flexible working.
training for managers
Organisations often implement new ways of working, such as flexible working, without considering the challenges this might create for managers. This training challenges managers to focus on the quality of individuals’ output, rather than time spent visibly in the workplace, and equips them with skills to manage a flexible working team.
Interactive workshops are tailored to the organisation’s needs, and build managers’ skills in areas such as:
- Dealing with flexible working requests;
- Ensuring connectivity in a flexible working team; and
- Measuring outcomes and managing performance.
policies and processes
Diversity Inclusion further assists organisations and Managers to implement new ways of working through supporting policies and procedures, including:
- Flexible Working policy creation/review
- Flexible Working Guidelines
Diversity Inclusion’s workplace transitions offering assists organisations to bring employees along for the journey when developing and transitioning to new ways of working, including the uptake of flexible and activity-based working. The program involves consulting with a diverse group of employees within an organisation to understand their needs and challenges (for example through a validated survey measure, focus groups and one-on-ones), before designing solutions.
Diversity Inclusion then formulates a tailored plan with tangible measures that clearly articulates an organisation’s case for change and vision, and determines a timeframe, governance, and project plan and project team.
